Tell 'Em He's Dreamin' - 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Production of the 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau Edition was over 120,000 cars in 1974 alone. $244 was never so well spent as in a vinyl top and ornate badgery of such distinction. Nowadays, the second generation Monte Carlos are stuck in the rare-ish but valueless category along with many of their cushy domestic contemporaries.

Tell 'em He's Dreamin': Custom 1980 Monte Carlo

Assuming you're the kind of man who wants a purple whip, I hope you're a machinist as well. Trying casually slip the phrase "only immediate repair need is it needs the crank shaft replaced" doesn't cover up a blown engine. Although by the time you get the engine put back together it might be warm enough to drive an always topless car. The seller does earn points for spelling, grammar, and having all the vital information.

Beater Batshit: 1995 Thunderbird in poodle skirt

Love the look of '50s Fords but don't want to give up the world class ride and handling of mid '90s Thunderbirds? If your eye sight is starting to go then this is the car for you. The seller leaves out all the important details including milage and price. Who or why this car went under the knife is also left to the imagination. Looking at this inexplicably makes me think of Who Framed Rodger Rabbit.

Beat Worthy: Dodge Omni GLH

As my own turbo Dodge project slowly takes shape, its good to know that running cars are still available should the van catch fire again. Rust has considerably thinned the ranks of mid '80s turbo Chryslers and this example appears better than average. Assuming the price has a little room for negotiation, this could be a good deal on a legitimately rare car that's a bunch of fun to drive.

Tell Him He's Dreamin' 1974 Saab Sonett III

As much as I revere all Sonetts, $2300 is bit too rich for a car that hasn't moved under its own power in 30 years. The pictures raise more questions than they answer like, why is the nose so high and the tail so low to the ground? Despite robust Swedish engineering it'll take more than a little TLC to get that V-4 running again.
