Beat Worthy: Renault Fuego

Beat Worthy status was bestowed assuming the 1700 miles stated in the ad is accurate and not missing a couple zeros. Clearly all of the important information is missing and when considering French turbo motoring please be realistic. It probably does not run and hasn't for some time.

Beater Batshit: Trimuter Kit Car

After a couple google searches I dug up some information on this door-stop shaped thing. The Trimuter was an early '80s kit car with either a 16hp Briggs & Straton or a 60V electric power plant.

In typical CL fashion the seller doesn't include much information, punctuation or grammar in the ad. Worst of all, the trike pictured isn't even the one for sale. I'm not driving all the way to Ohio unless I can see the trailer home this is parked next to.

Beat Worthy: Ford LTD Country Squire

When I grow old I want to drive a massive brick shaped station wagon wearing a small forest of faux wood trim. If I'm lucky it'll also have a heated windshield and a power window in the tail gate. What's not to love?

The description seems honest and if that's all it needs the price is reasonable.

Beater Batshit: Miata impersonating BMW

This Miata is having an identity crisis. Such conversions have always puzzled me. What could possibly motivate someone to mutilate an innocent Miata so completely? Was the dream of owning a Z3 so powerful and unobtainable? The most logical explanation being the conversion kit was cheaper than OEM parts after the accident. The result is a cartoonish BMW that a fifth grader can see through. Maybe he used it to torture Bavarian neighbors.

The seller does redeem himself somewhat by not trying to trick us into thinking its German. He backs up that modesty with what looks like an honest evaluation by admitting some pretty serious faults. Grammar and punctuation are also excellent by CL standards. This car has been reposted numerous times over the last several months and unless we get a serious heat wave will probably be posted again.
